Default Integra Gas mileage

Hey I', just wondering how much gas do you guys get from a full tank of gas? I'm only getting about 180. I got a 95 integra ls auto. I used to drive a 93 civic ex and i got like 160. Is this a problem? I always thought i should be getting more. I reside in nyc.

Healthly motors can average a tad below 300. How many miles do you have on the engine and have you done a compression test/check up lately?

Sounds like you need a tuneup. I get around 275 miles/tank and I have a turbo, so there is definitely something wrong. Replace the fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, and distributor cap and rotor and see if that will help with mileage. Also make sure your wheels are balanced and inflated to nominal pressure.

Im asked a similar question acouple weeks ago and replaced everything 'cept the spark plus wires. Im still getting the same gas mileage. The only time I got better gas mileage was when I drove straight for like 3 hours. got around 230 at little below half tank. Is there anything we can do ? When I was at kragen auto parts the guy asked me if I had a lead foot. I said sometimes but not usually. So would that be a problem, our driving style ???

It certainly has a lot to do with it.

You can also contribute some of the lower mileage tanks to spending long amounts of time idling in traffic and stop and go traffic. I would hit well over 300 miles per tank and almost 27 MPG if I didn't have to commute in rush hour traffic both ways.

I must need a tune-up. I average 250 miles a tank, and it takes a tad under 11 gals to fill each time. Thats about 22 mpg. On highway trips, I get about 33 mpg.

99 GS, automatic.

Well my 92 RS 5-speed has 200,000 on the engine, fresh timing belt and tuneup, I put 10 gallons in it and go about 350 miles before the gas light comes on. That means 35 mpg So either you are driving way too hard or the car is running like crap. Mine is all stock and to get it to feel fast you have to run it hard and then I might get that kind of mileage on a bad day. Try shifting sooner, hauling less friends, or take off the rear wiper blade, it has much wind resistance causing the decreased gas mileage. ( I read that crap on here before and it is just funny so I dont need flaming I am not that stupid :airon:

I get about 28-29MPG in my 96 GSR 4dr when I'm on the highway but when I'm driving around town like to work and crap, I get the crappiest gas milage its not even funny. I dunno how I can get like 260-270 on a full tank on the highway but then get as low as 17-18 MPG when just driving to work and around town.

IMO It's easier to make a comparison if we talk in miles per gallon.
Our gas gauges aren't all that accurate. h:

My commute is mostly suburban, and over the last two years, I've averaged 26.07 MPG in my '97 LS. I do admit to having a heavy right foot. :rick:

My best mileage yet was on my road trip to SEMA last fall.
With constant speed and light traffic, I averaged 33.25 MPG between SF and Buttonwillow, CA.

So if you're coming out to somewhere in the 23-25 MPG range on a single fillup, you're not too far off. h:
