Vtec not that loud

i dont even notice my vtec kicking in, all i hear is my turbo spo0lin' and my fukin loud ass thermal. i sometimes forget i even have vtec haha!....

I've heard that the B18C1 is one of the "quieter" (I don't even know if that's a word) VTEC engagements. My boss has a VTEC Civic and everything is louder on his car, his intake is louder, when it hits VTEC you can really hear it pull. My intake isn't really that loud and I can barely tell when my car hits VTEC. I can only feel it not hear it.

Take the top of your Air box off. Then go and drive it hard. You'll hera a huge difference, and the vtec will be heard clearly.

the filter isn't designed to be a velocity stack. i would think without the top on to keep a high pressure around the filter, you will get a slight decrease in performance.
