Eibach Lowering Kit
Sup sup. My 1997 Integra LS (automatic) is bare stock. I want to get some nicer suspension, so I guess that means lowering it. Eibach's reputation seems real, so I guess I want the Pro-Kit.
First off, is it a manageable task for a first time endeavor?
Any suggestions on where to get started? Namely, what should I buy and where are good places to look? Where is all the good information at?

well if you get springs might as well get the struts.Eibach makes some nice springs, but so does H&R, Neuspeed, Tein, and Skunk 2 www.coximport.com has all of these springs
Eibach knows thier sh!t.
You'll need camber kits though on the front. I don't know about the rear (I didn't need em on my bucket cause it had been wrecked... go figure) I drive a ragged out Civic so it's a little different. Struts wouldn't be a bad idea because even though the Eibach ProKit may be one of the best for working with stock parts, eventually they will break down.
As far as it being a first time DIY... it just depends on you, and the tools you have available to you.

and for tryin to do it urself i agree with what the person above me said "it just depends on you, and the tools available to you."
you can look on team-integra.net website they have instructions on how to do it
almost forgot to tell you it is recomended that you should get shocks along with the springs and installed it then..itll save you from a world of hurt

Eibach makes matching dampers along with their springs but they don't seem to have one for Integras, let alone Acura. I'm shootin for the most cost-efficient improvement in handling, so what shocks could I match with it?
I want to go low enough to have markably improved handling, but without having to avoid too many road obstacles. I don't care for looks.

I have the prokits matched with koni yellows and they work well for me. I have about a two finger gap between the tire and the fender. The yellows are pricey around 500 so if you want a decent shock for a couple hunderd less I would check out the kyb agx's. Check out ebay for decent prices on those shocks.
Here's my experiences with few different springs
sprint springs (eclipse spyder GS-T) very bouncy,
H&R springs (00 civic SI) decent ride,
cheap coilovers (00 civic EX and 00 civic SI) very bouncy,
ground control coilovers (95 GS-R) decent ride,
cut springs (00 civic EX) nightmare,
ractive coilovers (eclipse GS-T) very bouncy,
pro-kits (eclipse GS-T and eclipse GS) awesome ride and look
Tein springs (eclipse GS-T) very nice ride, goofy look and feel.
I love the Pro-kits. H&R had a good ride as well. On my last GS-T, I started with ractive coilovers, then switched to Tein S Tech springs, which felt just like stock, but seemed higher in the front than the rear so I ditched them and went with what I knew was good, the Eibach Pro-kits. I teamed them up with KYB AGX struts and I loved it. I'm saving up to do the same to my GS-R right now although I might try out the sportline springs.
Ebay had the best deals that I found for the KYB AGX struts. I saved about $50-$70 total.

I had both Eibach sport and H&R sport springs, and personally I like H&R better. The ride on both is the same, but H&R looks much better from the outside. Eibach springs seems to be higher in the front wheels.
You can check out this new site, it's pretty cool. Seems to be a comparison shopping for performance car parts and they even have a feature to find parts for your car only.

this could be an awesome source for us if they can get some product reviews.
