From what Ive seen gsr trannys go in the 800 range. Thats kinda pricey for me.

Im pretty sure I can handle taking my tranny apart. But I when I do I wanna put a LSD and regear it.

Can you double syncro a LS tranny like the type r is. My friends got a b16a tranny with a ls motor in his hatch and compared to my ls tranny his seems to accel alot better even though were a dead even race.

Have you ever seen the inside of the tranny case? You might think differently. It's not something for an amateur mechanic to do.

That's because the B16 tranny has the same gearing as the Type R. As for putting the double synchros in an LS, I'm not sure if you can or not.

Yes I know its geared the same. And to be honest I havent really looked into taking a 5 speed apart. My dad went to school for it though. So he can help

It's good to have that kinda help around!

If you don't have one yet, invest in a Helms manual...not a crappy chiltons/haynes manual.

i was just wonder if there was a way to tell if i have an lsd in my stock b16a/transmission? I have a complete jdm set up from front to back. i guess what i want to know is does the b16a Si-R come with a stock lsd tramission? can i figure it out by looking at the v.i.n.?

stock-equipped trannies w/ LSD will have "LSD" stamped on it.
