ey i just got my turbo kit from greddy w/ everything i need to finish my turbo set up, boost control,bov,turbo timer, fmic, and all da rest but i need to replace my stock clutch.. i drive a 99 gsr wat kind of clutch should i get?

I heard that a stage 3 clutch from clutchmasters is a good brand, has great grip without being to stiff. You can buy that for a good price from endyn, I think it is like $430 or so. Goto www.theoldone.com and get there phone #. Do you have a cat-back exhaust system as well. If you don't they have a good price on Thermal Research 3" for right at $500. Good price for a good product. And no I do not work for this company This is just where I am getting my stuff at.

 

ACT XTSS would suit your setup

 

I completely agree. That's what I run and it stands up to 390 whp and ~302 wtq. Great clutch!

 

if you aren't going to have a ton of power, the HDSS will suit your needs just fine. it holds like 243 ft/lbs and the greddy kit with blue box put out 157 ft/lbs torque on my GSR (mustang dyno) and i still ran a 13.957 @ 102.01 in the 1/4 mile. if you go w/ the XTSS, its going to be a lot harder to push the clutch in then the HDSS.

 

Centerforce makes a good clutch. A stage one will hold you up to about 250hp. I believe a Centerforce stage 1 is rated for about 45-50% over stock.

 

@ 250/175 my HDSS grabs great and is as comfortable as stock for daily driving. I love it :thumbup:
