maybe because you tightened the bolt too hard on the shift lever to the linkage, if you losen it a little bit it would be back to normal.

What transmission fluid did you use?
How much fluid did you use?
What short shifter did you install?

I posted on the wrong name... sorry that was my friends account. I was at his house because I was test driving after the install.

I use honda mtf. 2.5+ quarts... not sure... just did it till it drips. B&M factory bend shortshifter with es tranny bushings.

Yeah I might have tighten it too much. I don't have time to loosen it until tuesday. I'm planing to go back under.

What I mean by hard to shift is that it is a little bit hard to go into gear. I have to put pressure on it. Also, the stiffness prevents me from shifting fast and smooth.

In addittion to this, when I go above 3k rmp, it vibrates like a mothahugger. U might say its normal, but my stock shifter vibrates like that too. It vibrates so much that I could hear a buzzing sound from it. In addition to that, the clutch pedal also vibrates.

I changed the clutch fluid, tranny fluid, bushings with the short shifter for the hell of it(since i'm going under, might as welll do a lil more stuff) to get rid of the vibration i feel from the shifter and the clutch. BUT, the vibration is still there. I know that there is something wrong. Anyone have any ideas? If not, I'll probably have to take it in for the mechanics to take a look. Thanks for your concern.

The tight bolt should not matter since there is bearings on the shifter, or at least there should be, I have an edelbrock ss and it does. I cranked the nut and bolt and that thing moves fine. Make sure you didn't put it in backwards and that everything went in the way it came out. Regrease the factory bushing as well, or replace it w/an energy suspension.
