Whichever way you call it, I'm just glad they built the tranny that way.
I'll put up with a little reticence shifting into reverse when the alternative could be a disaster. Imagine the damage if you hooked reverse at freeway speeds...:eek4:

Just slightly start letting out the clutch as you try to put it in reverse. that should work.

Talking about accidentally going into reverse, wouldn't it just grind long before anything else happened? i know that's how it is at low speeds, seems like you would really have to jam that mother in there hard to get it to just lock into reverse like that

What are you talking about? I'm not talking about grinding and slammin it in there While the car is sittin still slightly letting the clutch out as you try to ease it in real nice and easy like your girlfriend back in high school.

Consistent problem with my old gsr. I would just do a quick run-through through teh H-pattern, and then it would pop right in.
