Default 95 Integra LS help!

My car does not seem to start. I does not crank, but the power is on though. I'm thinking its my alarm that's disabling the starter. I unplugged the alarm and still doesn't work. Does anyone know what's wrong with it?

First thing you should do is check for spark and fuel. To check for spark, pull out a spark plug wire from one cylinder and stick a screwdriver inside. Crank the motor and see if there's a spark.

I don't think it's the spark plug. I think my alarm system disabled the starter. Because when the alarm goes off, it automatically disables the starter. And I think my alarm is not functioning correctly. Whenever I try to start the car, after two turnsof the key of trying to start it, the alarm beeps once. Does anyone know how to 're-enable' the starter again?

If it's not cranking then how the hell is he gonna check for sparks?

Anyways. This is what you should do. Get a friend with a metal pipe (small) and has your trying to start the car have your friend tap the Starter and see if it goes if it try's then its your starter thats facked. If you remove the main plug from the alarm and nothing happends then your starter is shot. Also look at the starter and make sure everything is still tight.

I know the starter isn't the problem but I went ahead and tapped it. Had the starter replaced 3 months ago. So I don't think there's anything wrong with my car, it's just that my alarm dysfunctioned and disabled the starter so it wouldn't start. The alarm does beep when I press the button. It locks and unlocks the doors. I don't know how to reset it. Any more suggestions?

Well the best thing to do is take your jumper cables and hook them up to your batt then the other end hook up to the ground of the car then the positive one tap it to the possitive of the starter and see if try's to crank if so then you know for sure it's your alarm. I think it's not the alarm. I think you just got a messed up starter

Thanks, I found out what was wrong with it. The spark wire that connects to the starter was loose. I found out when I was trying to remove the starter. Never thought it would be loose because I never touched that area.

Thanks for the help guys

I had this same problem with my GSR. There is a kill switch that is activated when the battery is unhooked. If the alarm isn't going off, I don't think it has anything to do with it. I just cut the alarm and there is a switch by your left foot on the panel with the hood release. Fiddle with that and it should start. That is assuming it is the kill switch. If not, that could be something that was mentioned above.
