That junk thats on the door and fender. There are holes underneath correct? and if there are would it look ok to paint them body color till i can afford to take them off and get holes filled and get the car repainted?

 

You mean the side molding? I see nothing stopping you...

I think it has both an adhesive as well as clips that hold the mouldings in place.

There are clips that have to be released from the inside of the doors -- very carefully. And there is adhesive tape that has to be removed and replaced as well. I'd only take them off to paint them professionally (i.e. properly blended & automotive paint, applied by airgun, etc.)

If you've got the equipment to do it right, you can save a decent amount of money...

They can be painted quite inexpensively and easily. Imroves overall look of car IMHO.

 

i think i will do that. till i get out of tech and can afford to get all the body work done i want and car repainted.
