What is a B18C3
My local friend blew up his D16Y8 in his Civic and his father (!!!) ordered what was suppose to be a "B18C" JDM Integra GS-R w/ 4spd automatic transmission from ARDPerformance. The motor came in today and he called me to tell me about it, he said the engine code listed on the block is a B18C3 which I've researched to a 95-98 JDM ITR motor. Is this correct and can anyone provide additional specifications on this motor? Thanks!

It's definately not JDM. I think it is the European market Integra Type R engine. The easy way to tell though is the intake manifold (Short, curved up) and valve cover (red.)

It was the Euro variant of the ITR motor. Predominantly sold in the UK, the compression is a wee bit lower, and if memory serves, the cam profiles are similar to the USDM B18C5.
It's a decent motor, but why mate it to the auto tranny? :dunno:
