fall out of vtec?
after having my car dynotuned, my vtec is set to 5200. i notice when i redline first and go into 2nd that i fall out of vtec for about 200rpm then get back into vtec..is that right? because i was told that youre suppose to be in vtec once you go into 2nd..or since it was dynotuned and set there for a reason its okay? thanks
As txhatch is getting at, gearing is very important, shorter gears are much less likely to drop you low enough to get out of the VTEC range then longer gears.
Isn't 5200RPM about stock engagement?
If it really bothers you, adjust the engagement point down to match it, but if it has been dyno tuned to be there, just leave it.
