Before I go tearing into the back hatch, I figured I'd see if anyone else has had this problem & save me troubleshooting...

Problem:
My hatch release on the back of my '98 R doesn't always release the actual deck lid. It sounds like the actuator is clicking, but it isn't releasing from the base. If you wait a while (5-30 minutes) & try again it might work fine, then continue to work fine for a week & then stop again.

Any thoughts???

 

i have seen a bunch of actuators go bad on integras.

so much that when ever one comes to the dealership with said complaint we automatically put an actuator in.
