Default problems breaking into the hatch

to all of you hatch owners:
1. have you had problems w/people breaking into your cars?
2. is there a panel that goes in the hatch to cover your cargo?

for my first car i was looking forward to gettin a civic hatch, and i just got my 2 12" JBL subs in the mail. The last thing i need is some prick throwing a rock thru the hatch and snatching them. I know someone who had a 91 hatch, and a week after he got his new system (1000$+) someone ripped it all out, and you could see it all thru the hatch, so i am a little concerned. Im starting to lean towards a civic/accord coupe for the simple reason that they have trunks. And the EX models have power windows, locks, sunroof, etc.

Any input would be appreciated

was the hatch tinted? reason being when its tinted its harder to go though the window and WTF happened to your alarm or did you do things backwards as getting the sounds first then the alarm?

it wasnt me, it was my friend. and no, it wasnt tinted. i walked by his car one day and his amp was mounted on top of his box, and sat right out in the open, so im not surprised it was stolen. But is there a "cargo cover" or w/e? i found a 93 hatch for $1650 and i really wanna jump on it, but im skeptical

ya my friends hatch has a cargo cover, if the one you're looking at doesnt have one then get one from either ebay or honda.

How about bolting the box down to the trunk area of the car? You can do it pretty simply and shoot them in the ass as they try to muscle it out! HA HA HA!
