Default Vibrating steering column

My steering column vibrates or at least there is some some strange clunking sound on the left side on accleration. What could be the problem?

What parts are involved to transfer the power from the engine to the wheels? I suspect something is loose. Please help.

Thanks

Engine > Flywheel > Transmission > Axles > Wheels

Have you inspected all CV joints, both inboard and outboard? Look for tears in the rubber boots and grease flung about.

When was the last time you had your tires rotated and balanced?

I have this same problem but my steering wheel does not shake and the rotational vibration is felt throughout the entire time I drive. I'm leaning towards my axles because the last time I was under the car, I saw a bit of grease on the joints but didn't think much of it because I thought they just didn't clean up after the job. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what it is causing this pulsation.

ALIGNMENT, or cut the rotors if it happens under braking

Okay can someone tell me what are the symptoms of a broken axle or leaking cv boot/joint? I don't feel it only when braking but during the whole ride. It's something ticking felt on the pedals/steering wheel and underneath driver's side.

Jack up your car and see if your boots are torn or leaking.

My tires were balanced when I bought new tires for the car. But this problem is still there after that.
