Default glazed rotors

(i posted this in the basement b4, but didnt get many responses)

i bought new f&r rotors for my 95 gs-r about 10,000 miles ago. the rears are already glazed, warped, and have grooves in them. the fronts are warped also.

any ideas? or lemme guess...the shop just gave me some generic rotors w/low heat tolerance?

thx

What pads do you have? My brembo cross drilled/slotted rotors warped in like 8 months. I had Hawk +'s at the time. Now i'm on brembo blanks with oem pads and it feels about the same and now I don't have to clean my rims so often.

I just noticed you said your rears were the ones that were warped. Do you park on steep hills/driveways? There's alot of reasons why it might have happened such as: excess E-braking, having the E-brake on too tight especially after hard runs, uneven cooling when in contact with water. (spraying the rotors before they are cooled down) etc, etc.

My guess is the change from OEM pads to axxis metal masters. Other then that possibly the rotors. Were they brembo slotted/cross drilled/blank? If they were no namers then most likely the quality of rotors. Just slap on some OEM pads and some brembo blanks/slotted. After that I'm pretty sure you won't have anymore premature warpage/glazing.

I have metal masters too...do you get lots of brake dust too. I just had my rotors resurfaced when I put the masters on about 4,000 miles ago....did one track day and no problems yet...my front rotors warped at 20,000 with oem pads so we'll see how long these last

Were you using the Axxis Metal masters for the past 3 years, or the standard deluxe axxis pads? Just curious.
