Two Problems
I have two problems with my teg that have been bugging me for a while now,
First, when I shift into park, Yes I drive an auto -_-;; it doesn't always realize that it is in park. This happens more often in the winter. So because it doesn't know its in park I can't take the key out, nor can I shift into another gear with out an extra key for the shift lock release. This is a real pain and often makes me late. Eventualy it just clicks into park after waiting for a while.
Second, and a little less important, when I'm idling in drive at an intersection my car starts to viberate, which is kind of annoying. What's kind of wierd about it is when the windows are up and I press the power window switch up the car viberates even more. When I shift into N it stops.
If you can help me with one or both of these problems that'd be great, thanks.

its vibrating at the light cuz its old. And its doing this while its in gear because the engine wants to move the car, and the 'still' car is resisting the engines effort to move (which is rather weak since it's idling). When you put it in N, the engine is no longer being held back by something, its free spinning and not being stressed anymore. The reason it vibrates more when u put the windows up and down, or turn on your headlights for that matter, is also becuz you are asking the engine to lend power to something else (alternator), which just puts a little more stress on it. It's old, I think you are pretty much going to have to deal with it. I'm not sure about the 'not knowing its in park' deal, some sensor or something is worn it seems.
