Rough Ride
I bought my 98 integra ls bout 2 months ago, and it already had coilovers on it, no clue of what they are but whenever i go over even the slightest bump it hits real hard, my dash makes a loud ass sound whenever this happens. Its annoying to have to slow down for every bump so I asked a mechanic about it and he told me that the springs have prolly been heated, i dont think they have but i have to do something quick, i dont know if i should buy new coil overs or what?? thanks
What you should do is check if you actually have coilovers or they have just cut the springs. If they are actually coilovers, see if you can tell what brand it is and how old it is. (I want to know the brand to know if its some cheap ebay sh*t). It could just be that they upgraded to coilovers (which are basically adjustable springs with a stiffer ride) and did not change the shocks at all. After putting aftermarket springs/coilovers and not changing the shocks, the OEM shocks usually go out pretty soon after. Maybe it would just be wise to invest in some new suspension set-up. I suggest H&R or Eibach Springs, mated with some Tokico/KYB AGXS/ or Koni Shocks.
