Crap...it looks like the timing belt is going to be cheaper than the ignition switch assembly, at least just for the part.

Maybe that's with the key cylinder & everything. I don't know if you can buy ONLY the electrical part of the switch?

$359 was the quote for the repair, part + labor. He's going to make sure the whole thing needs to be replaced before acutally doing it, though. At the same time he'll be doing the timing belt and water pump. He said he'll check the tensioner, but he said he's rarely ever had to replace one in the life of a Honda, so it looks like I may be able to save a few bucks.

just replace electrical part of ignition switch, take of the steering column cover and you'll see it on the left side (has about 3-4 wires soldered onto it) follow where the
harness goes and unplug it
