Default 2000 teg remote trunk release

Sorry if it is a newbie question, but I did search the forum for posts on this subject.

Can someone tell me if the 2000 Integra LS needs a selenoid for a remote trunk release? Or, can someone tell me a good website to get specs on this model? Am planning on putting in a remote starter/keyless entry, and would like to have the trunk release. The Clifford and Viper sytems I am looking at have the relay for a trunk release, but I want to know if I will have to pay for the labor and selenoid to make it work.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure it needs a solenoid. The stock trunk release is essentially a cable that runs from the lever in the car to the latch.

That is what I thought, thanks for the verification. You happen to know if it would be a lot of work to put the selenoid in? If it isn't an easy job, I don't want to pay out the wazuu for some kid to rip apart the hatchback and not seal things back together properly, and end up having my turn blinker turn on when I turn on my headlights cause they screwed up the wiring harness.

ive seen my friend put in a trunk release solenoid within an hour. so its really not a difficult task if you are confident in running wires and mounting the solenoid.

I bought the Clifford Matrix 3 at Audio Express, I had a good deal on it, $200 because it was the last units and they dont wanna get any more Cliffords cuz they are stickin with Viper. I had it installed for a dollar and they installed the trunk thingy.
