i might be able to tell u what it is i had the same problem till i pulled it out and i had a broken piece of presure plate casting that was rattling around probably my driving the shit out of her not only that the pressure plate almost seperated from the other piece where the clutch grabs. then . I still drove around and i found pieces of casting from tranny case in there as well and a pice of the starter casing . I know I know I couldn't belive what i was seeing coming out of there . My gears are fu**ed anyways i'm getting a rebuild or a jdm tranny .

You might want to think about it as preventive. You're at enough events that it increases the chance the clutch will let go at an inopportune moment that would inconvenience a number of people.

Hrm. I guess that would suck

At least if I did it during a NASA weekend i'd be sure to find a spare clutch!
