The problem is that nobody believes in a true group buy anymore.

The wheelguys sell them cheaper anyway, don't know if theyl'll be down for a groupbuy or not. For ex. they sell the same falken 512's for $96 instead of $106 and shipping is free.

Any word?

Maybe we should be asking companies if they offer deals for those who 'buy in bulk' or something. The term group buy doesn't seem to be getting us any results.

well, i just gave discount tires a call. the service rep told me that they didnt do group buy discounts but did offer the "lowest prices" (whatever that meant). but i did get the number of the guy that emailed me and told me that it was available.
