Gauging Interest in Falken Azenis Group Buy.

Here is the email from Phil.
Hi , here is the deal on the Azenis. I can't do better than $65 a tire. They are becoming available now. I can get 20 at a time. The price will be good till the end of May. June 1st Falken is raising the price......If you have anyone interested I need to get payment from them. I will sell them 1st come 1st served. Discount tire has them for $75 w/ free shipping. They have none on the east coast they are all out west.
so to sum it up, it's $65 ea(this price is NOT shipped).. it will most likely only be advantageous to those of you who can pick up. Phil is selling them on first come first serve basis. He can gets them in amounts of 20 tires. So call in advance to make sure he has them in stock.
I'm out of the buy due to my location. However I will do what I can to help folks w/?'s should try contacting Phil or possibly Anton (1greyteg) first.

In the interest of everyone’s wallets, and to help us attain more seat time, I’m attempting to set up a groupbuy for the Falken Azenis sport tires. (sizes are yet to be determined, but will most likely be 205/50/15..)
The groupbuy would be through either Discount Tire Direct, or Tirerack. I need to let them know how many prospective buyers I have to see what the eligible discount would be.
Here are the current prices offered for Azenis (ours would be lower of course.. and the price varies slightly depending on where you order.)
These are NOT our prices, these are the prices currently offered to give you a better idea.
195/60/HR14= $43ea
205/50/VR15= $62ea
205/55/VR16= $77ea
215/45/ZR16= $98ea
225/45/ZR17= $106ea
245/45/ZR17= $113ea
If any of you are interested please post here, and keep checking the thread. Further details will be posted later.

Cash and carry is the best method for many local guys in Southern NY.
As I reported from the beginning the profit margin with tires and these in particular is slim, if you feel this is, or will not be a good deal then please tell us to take you off the list.
And again, what we are waiting on is Not Phil but his distributors to make the supply available for delivery and to promote the lowest possible price.
Other things to consider is that there is not a huge current supply of the Azenis at this time and several of the big tire companies are currently backordered And that come June tire companies will be raising their prices.
We will keep you informed as soon as we get all of the information. We will be speaking with Phil again next Wednesday May 5th to most likely finalize Everything.

Our price should be substantially less.

The tirerack groupbuy was put up by some Ford Focus forum IIRC.. They just don't offer them online..
Discount is still a possibility, I just have to call a specific person who is not in today..
