Expo related: VA and radar detectors
My advice: just dont use it. Keep it unplugged. You have to keep in mind that Virginia uses radar detector detectors. Many redar detectors can get around the VG-2 Radar detector detector, but there is a new one they use called Spectre-II which they cannot get around. Spectre-II is able to detect virtually all radar detectors. Just use your head-- as long as its turned on, they can still get your for the detector even if you arent speeding.

Would anyone know how to lower this by anychance? anything i could do to drop my rate a little?

Well, I should have said it also depends on the cop and his mood at that moment in time. if he see's you speeding in 30 degree rainy weather, he's probably going to be more pissed off and might just give you a bigger ticket because of it.

Granted, cops don't like detectors, and you might be more likely to get out of a ticket if they don't see one - but even if they see one, they're not going to "give you a bigger ticket because of it".

At one time, they were illegal in Connecticut, but that law was repealed in the mid to late nineties.
