Well I'm playing around with fuel pressures again. I'm running less than 40 psi all the way across the rpm range. Still using the VAFC, but now I had to install check valves between the map and intake to make sure the ECU sees 0 boost, since I am using less than -38 fuel settings on the VAFC, it is no longer tricking the ECU into not seeing boost. So far the results are excellent, I may still go to the strip this year with this setup, because by this spring it will be Hondata and no more VAFC games.

update:
VAFC throttle points set at 10% lo 50%hi. VTEC at 5000. Idle -50%, -38% up to 3000 on low cam low throttle, hi cam hi throttle +15 at 4500 up to +25 at 8500. So far I've only dared to rev to 7000 (trying to keep EGTs below 1450). It runs beatifully from idle to 7000 spinning the tires as soon as she sees boost and VTEC. I'll play around some more and update more later.
This is with fuel pressure at 37 to 38 at idle, dropping to about 27-30 at WOT. (modified stock reg - not what you think either) I know it's contrary to FMU type mentality, but interesting. I might hook up the FMU this weekend (maybe)
