VTEC Swap?
Any comments, suggestions, tips, negative comments, positive comments, opinions, instructions, directions, etc. for what i wanna do?
My friend brought up the idea, and i like it!
He suggested i buy a B16a1 and take the top half, and sell him the bottom half, with the top half i will take the VTEC head, distributor wiring harness, and anything else i wil need (anyone know of anything?) Then bigger sleeves. Then i will try to get a GS-R ECU with the B16A1, and install that in my 91 GS, so i will have a B18VTEC. which, from my assumptions and some knowledge of my friends, will be a beast of an engine.
anyone know of anything else i would need for this conversion?

New or aftermarket valve springs
Shotpeened stock or aftermarket rods
Modified stock B18C or aftermarket block girdle
Higher compression pistons would be nice, but not nessicary, as are higher lift/duration cams.
An OBD-0 PR3 or PW0 B16A ECU would be much easier to use then any OBD-1 GS-R ECU in a 91 body Integra.
Do a search for "LS/VTEC" and you will find more info. I am assuming you already know how do do the conversion.
This is a great swap when done right and nothing but problems done any other way.
I assume you have done the research and know that this is NOT a bolt on swap. There is precision machine work that must be done to the head to make it line up with your block.
Also the biggest problem people have with this swap is that it is still an ls bottom end and therefore still MUST use the ls redline. The vtec head provides better high rpm breathing but the ls rods are not capable of lasting at those rpms.
Unless you have lots of money to throw at this thing you would be much better off just putting in the whole B16a and running that.
