If you don't boost it all day long and drive it with some restraint, it'd last a good while. Some simple mods that would help it last longer would be some ARP head studs that you can get from Summit for ~$100 and a good tuning session on a dyno (if you decide to get a Hondata).

Good fuel management is key to a well running engine.

A VAFC/SAFC is no substitute for a Hondata, especially when boosting. I gained 30 whp in tuning on my Hondata and I have a lot of room to grow.

S200B. :goodjob:

The AEM is an extremely powerful stand-alone. The problem is, there's not a lot of people out there that can tune them yet. Granted, there's not a lot of Hondata tuners out there either, but far more than there are AEM EMS tuners.

The Hondata will do you very well.

Sorry man, you're wrong. I know the consensus/rumor is that you can only boost like 6-8 psi on stock internals, but that's all it is... a rumor.

I have a friend boosting a D16Y8 with a 15G Greddy kit on 11 psi daily. He goes to the track and runs it ragged almost every week and has had the kit on for over 2 years now. He dyno'd at 220 whp with NO internal mods, Greddy 15G kit, RC 440s and a VAFC.

2 years... on 11 psi... no internals touched.

Like I said, if you push boost from the time you get in it to the time you get out, it's not going to last.
