passenger axle
1) Remove the wheel
2) Drain the MTF fluid from the transmission.
3) Straighten out the tab on the axle nut using a punch. Use a 32mm socket and breaker bar or 32mm socket and impact wrench to remove the axle nut.
4) You'll need to remove the lower fork with a 17mm socket and 14mm socket.
5) Pull the fork out. It will take some twisting and working, but it will come out.
6) See this thread on ball-joint seperation: https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=12390
7) Remove the outter part of the axle from the hub. You can turn the hub to the side to gain clearance. The outboard CV joint will bend as well and just pull it out. You may need to tap it out from the front. Have someone hold the axle or use a bungie cord to hold it up.
8 Use a pry-bar between the transmission and inboard CV joint to pry it out of the transmission.
That should take care of it. Install in reverse order. The new axle should pop right in completely. If it's giving you resistance, have someone rotate it while you apply force from the wheel-well. Also you will need to install the drain plug from the transmission back in, then remove the fill plug from above it and fill with Honda MTF according to spec.
That's all the details I can think of now. Keep us updated as you progress and we'll help any way we can.
