Default broken axle?

The boot next to my wheels is broken and leaking. is that a CV boot or joint boot? do i just need replace the boot or i need to replace the axle? do i need to take out the brake disc when i replaceing the axle or the boot? what will happen if i drive with a leaking oil axle? thanks

your boot is busted...if it isnt too bad (not clicking) i would say put a new boot on it...if its clicking when you turn just change the axles....its not very hard or very expensive either way

that is thinking you know how to change the axles out

yah just ur outter cv boot is busted taking it somewhere to have just the boot replaced would be around 40-60 dollars, having the axle replaced will probably run u around 120-150 each. just to give u an estimate

are you just combining random mechanical-type words to form a somewhat coherent sentence that may or may not accurately describe whatever the hell it is that's wrong with your car?
