Default Integra Radio Code

Hi, there!

I have driven my Integra silently for a week since I got the battary changed and I couldn't find my radio code card anywhere. I called the dealership. They told me that (1) I would have to make an appointment; (2) there they take radio out; (3) check something in the back of the radio; and (4) call Acura for the code. They would charge me $50 for the service.

Is it really complicated? Do you know other way to work it out?

Thank you very much!

I went through the same thing like you. The reason that the dealership needs to take out the radio is to get the serial # and thats why they are asking for $50 for the labor.

But if you do it yourself (trust me its easy) then just take the serial # and they can just type it in the computer and get the code.

But with me, the code was marked on top of the radio with a pen so i dint have to go to the dealership for a 2nd time.

Thank you for the advice. Do you think the radio code is unique for each radio? Maybe yours works on my radio. Do you think Honda dealership can help with this issue as well? My dealer moved to 30 miles away.

Many Thanks.

Check around the interior of the car for the code first. Some dealers placed it on a sticker in/on: The glovebox interior walls/top/bottom/sides, the ashtray (underneath it, pull it out and turn it upside down, this is where my dealer put the code), center console (only heard of that once) and fuse box cover.

If you can't find it there, pull the radio to get the serial number and visit an acura dealership. They might require proof of ownership (registraion, ins card, etc), the vin and the serial number.

Thanks. I checked the manual and found a little sticker, "96F537187". Apparently, this is not the radio code. Do you think this is the serial number?

That must be the serial # because the radio code is like 5 or so digits
