yeah i posted this forever ago. as for the turbo, i was putting out 216whp and 157ft-lbs and ran a 13.957@102.01 with a 2.166 60' on street tires. i've recently had it tuned with uberdata and suprisingly lost hp. haha. im now putting out 210whp but my torque went up to 165ft-lbs. it actually feels a little quicker and doesn't bogg down like it did around 6k with the "blue box". I know the hp would go up if i upped the boost but it already spikes at 10psi (set at 8psi). i'm tempted to set it at 10psi and just deal with a little spike to 12psi. shouldn't be too bad on the engine since i've seen the a/f curve and it is a little on the conservative side (fine with me since it's not an all out racer). ill try and get the recent dynos this weekend when i go home from college and hopefully i can post 'em up.

great article you found too carta.

Bummer dude. You said uberdata was going to give you like 280hp or so. I was all optimistic because I have the same setup and I need a tune badly. Oh well. Time to up the boost.

i talked with the guy and he said that the turbo is just too small to really put out a ton of hp. believe me, i wasn't exactly happy when i lost hp. i guess the greddy kit was makin my car run really lean. but the guy said that when i put the boost controller on, it should stick it at 10psi and i wont have any boost spike. i guess ill have to see how that does and ill let everyone know in about a week or so. maybe ill see if he can make the a/f ratio a little less conservatave

I'd take a horsepower loss for a gain in torque any day of the week. Those are good numbers and 13.957@102.01 is just straight up quick. There's nothing to not be happy about.

well greddy has it tuned to a GSR but not all engines perform the same. you could have two of the same car, same exact mods, and they would both need to be tuned differently. also, i would assume greddy tuned their cars in california which has a different atmosphere pressure/ different weather conditions (i'm in ohio).

boost spike is where it "spikes" up to a higher psi then what you want it to.

and uberdata > vafc
