Thats because its on a Mustang dyno. You must first understand the difference/discrepency in dyno's (Mustang, Dynojet, Dynapack). Other than that, a dyno is just a measuring tool. Your total peak output of HP and torque doesn't matter. Its how much gains you get after certain modifications that count.

LOL! Or so you hear... Then what about Dynapacks? Will the readings be more accurate or less accurate because there is no wheel involved in the actual dyno?

Agian, attention should be paid more to how much you gain after modifications, not the peak numbers.

148 on a mustang Dyno is quite good for a GSR. Shoudl be about 159-161 whp on a Dyno Jet.

As mentioned above peak numbers don't mean much without other info. It is more a measure of gains than just power. Also peak numbers still mean very little. area under the curve will mean a faster car.

Are you sure???? GSR is only 170 hp according to factory spec. I'm sure there's more loss to the wheels than that!

Not that I made that statement very clear but re-read it this way. 148 whp on a Mustang dyno is kind of high and would equal about 159-160 on a Dynojet which is really high for a stock GSR. Expect a stock GSR on a Dynojet to be in the 140's with a modest 15% loss.

I thought I'd link up a good article while we're on this topic. It might help someone who is searching for info.

Were you able to get air/fuel readings from this dyno?
I think the numbers look fine.
