GSR Header on LS Integra (1994)
Question, and I recall reading a somewhat similar thread LONG ago, but couldn't find it in search.
Found a good deal on a header made for, and currently installed on, a 94 GSR hatch.
I have a 94 LS hatch.
I have a RSR cat-back exhaust system.
The header is also a RSR unit.
I know the cat is shorter/longer on the GSR; it's a different size than my LS cat.
What do I need to do to fit this header onto my LS? The unit should bolt-up to my head just fine, but it's the cat that I am worried about.
Suggestions? Remedies? HELP?!?
Thanks.

Are you lowered? The gsr or any of those vtec headers will sit lower then a normal nonvtec ls header. Maybe just an inch lower, but a inch is extreme if your lowered. If you want to have a header ripped off easily while driving go ahead and buy that header.... Not smart idea to do that. Vtec engines are just a bit longer verticle if you get what i'm saying? People will complain about scratching their dc 4-1 header for their ls's now just imagine what could happen with that header... I personally bought the DC's JDM 4-1 stainless steel 2.5 inch collector header. It's actually for a type r (which is vtec) so it would have sat about an inch lower then usual on my car. The local shop in my area told me i'd have this torn off with how low my car is...
just a my thoughts...
-also my friend who has a type r has the same DC header and it sat lower on his car (its ment for) and he's banged his up pretty bad. 4-1 headers are no good if your lowered. I'd go with just a really nice brand name 4-2-1 header made for your ls.

IIRC, the bolt pattern for the GSR head is substantially different from the B18B2 head. I believe you'll have to swap header flanges as well. Unless this setup is going on a Frankenstein B18B...

All the rest of you crack monkeys are wrong!
GSRs and LSs use the same OEM 4-2 exhaust manifold. It's just the bottoms that are different.
All B series engines are the same height except for the b16a, which has a deck height 3mm shorter. I do believe vtec and nonvtec oil pans are slightly different, but I thought it was the VTEC engines that had better header clearance.
The DC JDM 4-1 just plain hangs low, period. It is not a result of the engine it is installed on, but rather its design. And yes, they are prone to scraping but the only damage my header sustained was from a hasty tow truck operator.

Yes qtiger is absolutely right the only diffence is the length of the header. It will bolt up fine to an LS head but you will have to mod your exhaust a bit since the GSR header is shorter than the LS.

my bad
