Default b20/vtech important questions. HELP

Hey, im doing a b20,vtech, supercharge. build in my type r. I have a couple of questions. first off i have a b20 b4 block. stock. and i have a b18 (gsr) head with skunk 2 , double valve springs, valves, and retainers. Ported and polished. With type r cams and aem cam gears. Now my question is that ive been hearing that the stock rods and pistons of the b20 are too long and will cause problems with the valves. therefore i need to get shorter rods. I was already but i didnt want to get the wrong ones. I need to know what size rods i need so that i can be safe. also i heard that b20 engines cant be revved up higher than 8k is that true? even after all the work i have on it? im thinking of up grading to 10:1 compression from the sucky 8:1 the stock b20 motor has. Any other suggestions before i put it together? other than a block guard.? thanks alot for the information i really appriciate it.

What vtech are you using? 2.4 ghz? Man, you'll be able to make calls faster than anyone else on the planet. It's vtec, okay? says so right on the p72 head you supposedly own. b20b4?

Aaaaaanyway, basically everything you mentioned is incorrect and thus the answer is no. Stock rods are not too long, valves are fine. No, the engine shouldn't be revved above stock redline even with an upgraded head because A) the engine balance sucks, B) no girdle, C) rod bolts suck, D) stroke isn't helping things, and E) I need a sandwich. I would say no on the block guard (cooling issues) and yes to new sleeves.

man you really need to do research before you just make plans to do stuff. You're all over the board with what you want, but you don't really know how/why it works, or even if it does in the first place.

There is a block stamped B20B4, qtiger. I saw it recently on H-T somewhere, but it's legit.
