Default headlights

I have a tiny problem with my headlights, it seems that my right headlight has a nasty yellow tint to it, my left one is clear but the other one isn't. my uncle told me that it was because the dealership puts a clear coat on it to make it look nice, but after a while it starts to fade, or the sun damages it. do any of you know how to take it off? some sort of chemical or something that i can put on it to make it clear?

you can use any fine grid paper to sand the yellow layer off.

that TI article uses EagleOne NeverDull. Works greatly! You apply the NeverDull, let it haze, then buff off. Clear as day...but you have to do it about every 2 weeks.

You can also buff the lights with some good compound (use an auto buffer at low speed).

"You'll never be able to fully get rid of the yellow haze" - Response when I asked a local detailing shop on how to do it "Cheapest way is to keep applying NeverDull"

Their advice works great

On my Swift GTi - which probably used cheaper plastic - I found that a careful but generous application of Meguiar's #7 Heavy-Cut Cleaner followed up with hand buffing and a wee bit of rubbing compound worked just as well, and lasted nearly a year.

Something to try.
