McKInney is pretty south right, no snow issues, so I would go for Summer performance that will be good enough in the rain for a torrential hurricane downpour. Yokohama makes a damn fine tire, though I am sad to say the AVSi is history. The Kumho's I have now have worn pretty well, but are just not as high a quality tire. They have deteriorated more with wear.

Go with a set of Falcon Aziens 205-50-15, nice and wide so you can take those corners faster and there good tires. But if you are looking for a cheap reliable tire just go with Kuhmo(I trust kuhmo)!

I'm really into Dunlop tires... More pricey than brands like Kuhmo and such, but they're AWESOME tires. If all weather concerns and long tread life are issues, look at the Dunlop Sport 5000s. After 20K miles, the most worn tires are like 1/3rd tread left... incredible tires.

I'm partial to Bridgestone.

no such tire exists. unless you are willing to sacrafice performance for longivity.

i'd be surprised if any high performance tire lasts over 20K if you pushed them all the time.

FWIW, my Toyo T1-S lasted about 7or 8K miles and that's with 15-20 autox in a span of one year.

Kumho MX are pretty sticky and relatively cheap but the jury is still out on how long they last.

If you don't mind the excess weight of the Falken Azenis RS (Sports) then try those. They grip pretty well but seem to last longer than the other summer performance tires.

I switched to the falkens a week ago. However, I would be cautious in the rain with the Azenis. I've been told by others that it gets worse in the rain as the tread wears down.

Proper spelling and grammar > you

Anyways, what I did to get the lowest pricequotes was that I searched the web for the lowest price from a big-name shop, then I started calling local business asking them to compete. Eventually I found a shop that was willing to mount and balance for $12 more per tire than Tirerack's unshipped price...
