Default URGENT:Please HELP

I just sold my Acura Integra GS-R to my friend and then he went to go get emissions and it says fail because:

MIL Status - MIL Command on - FAIL
Key on engine off/cranking - FAIL
Key on engine running - FAIL

Then it gave some code for whats wrong with it. What does the code P1337 stand for, and how will we come about fixing this problem?

The guy doing the emissions didn't even test anything else, he just said it failed because the Engine light didnt come on when the car was started. Shouldn't he atleast test everything else too because we paid $27 for it?

P1337 is an OBD-II code that corresponds to a code 54 on the check engine light. The description in the manual is "CKF Sensor (Crankshaft Speed Fluctuation) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor."

I did a search on this forum about the code 54, all the other user's problem are because the light is on, my problem is because the light is off. Any ideas?

Hey dude be a little more patient man, it's not like I'm a 24-hour help line or something.

The first thing you should try and do is reset your ECU. If the problem has gone away then the code will not pop up again. If the CEL comes on after you reset the ECU then you need to check the code again to see if it's the same one and then troubleshoot the code.

All you have to do to reset the ECU is to pull the fuse labeled "BACK UP" in the engine bay fuse box for 15 seconds. This will clear the memory. Before you reset the ECU you should turn off all accessories (fan, stereo, lights, etc). Then after you reset the ECU you should start up the car and let it idle up to operating temp. Don't touch any pedals or turn on any accessories.

Anyway possible causes of a code 54 are a CKF sensor that has gone bad, the sensor is just unplugged, or there's something wrong in the wiring. But assuming the code goes away then you don't have to worry about that.

Ya I'm riding the bus. h:

If you pull the fuse instead of the battery cable then you don't have to reset your clock and stereo, etc.

Oh and I forgot to post a link to the how to on checking CEL codes, that'd probably help. Here ya go: http://www.c-speedracing.com/faq/06.php

the check engine light never came on because the bulb is burnt out or the is an open in the wiring. and yes, that will make a car fail inspection. and make the the CKP sensor is plugged in tight.
