EDIT ok i went back to it and saw the B18B powered deal, sorry to hear that
I thought it was A gs-r because of the bladed rims, my bad. Thanx Snoopy for the Info on the b16a3.

My objection to the car is as follows:

1) It has a b16a3 motor powering a heavy four door car, (weighs about 2,750lbs.

2)I have to go through the procedure of getting a restored salvaged title, by state law he was suppose to do that first, also by state law he cannot sell me the car without informing me about the salvage title, but since I cheated on the bill of sale, I have no documents to prove that I paid $5,500 for the car.

3) I think $5,500 is a lil too much for a car with a salvaged title and packs a b16a3 from a Del Sol.

4) I didnt really like four doors that much, so the only reason I bought it was to have a GS-R's b18c1 motor.

5) I still have to pay the GS-R Insurance rates instead of a delsol rate.

BTW: I saw A really nice 4 door Type R on this forum once, can anyone recall who it belongs to?

There is no such thing, at least in this country.

Wait, are you talking about that guy from Hong Kong or whatever?

Thanks, I was too lazy to search for that thread.

Yea he has a really nice sedan, i was thinking of doing that but i think im too young to own a sedan guys. Im thinking about selling my car to get the dc4 integ, even tho i cannot afford the gs-r i think it would look better. If i get the Ls or Gs or watver, i'll be missing the Vtec in my b16a3.

Correct me if I am wrong, b16a3 over powers a b18b1 correct?

oh man i dont know wat to decide, I love the VTEC in my sedan right now, but the 2 door teggy are just SOOO SEXY!!, not to mention it weighs less, but if i get the 2dr, i wont be able to get the GS-R version. which means "bye bye" Vtec.

Horsepower, yes. Torque, no. I would take a B18B1 over a B16A3 any day of the week.

B16A3: 160hp @ 7600, 111lb-ft @ 7000
B18B1: 142hp @ 6300 (140hp for 96+), 127lb-ft @ 5200

less torque, and the peak is 1800 rpm later.. :ugh: if i were you, i would do everything in your power to get your money back. this whole scenario sounds a little shady though. why haven't you confronted the seller already?

one last comment, those of you referring to the GS-R engine as the B18C, you should know that that is the JDM SiR-G engine. the USDM GS-R engine is the B18C1.

I cant do anything to him because in the end, we had the bill of sale to say he sold it for $2,000. I have no way of proving that i paid 5,500 for it. Unless you fellows can think of a way.

BTW: Would the b18b1 sound just as good w/o VTEC?
