Default Condensation, go away!

It rained steadily last night, and when it stopped the temperature dropped and my car was covered in frozen rain this morning. No big deal, I thought to myself. So after I ran the defrosters I noticed my windows were not clearing themselves. I had a decent amount of condensation on the inside of my windows (specifically the windshield but not limited to).

What caused this and how can I prevent this from happening again? My commute to work was difficult enough, without the added stress of experimenting with the heater and A/C controls to remove the condensation.

FYI, my windows/sunroof were tightly sealed. And Japanese heater/defrosters are the worst, bar none.

Air conditioning on max with the air on recycle... will get rid of condensation inside the car in like 3 minutes

This is some heavy condensation, I mean almost dripping from the inside of the glass.

First was your A/C button pressed in? That will make worlds of difference. Temp setting doesn't really matter IMO.

Also, any moisture on the inside of your car will make it worse - do you have any water leaks anywhere?

I had the same problem! The A/C only cleared the outside but the inside still had heavy condensation. I wiped it with a towel to get the DROPS of water off and it was still fogged. The usual full A/C on recycle and windows down didn't clear them up after 10 minutes!

Yeah my g/f's car suffered from the same problem as you and I.

Sucks. I REALLY hope it doesn't happen tomorrow.
