you actually got snowfall? I saw a few flurries but not even enough to make the ground wet :dunno:

I think you will regret putting them on so soon since we are suppose to get 70 degree weather this weekend and thats a no no for snow tires :happysad:

well what am i supposed to do--slide around on the snow?? i had to drive in it this week the day before i put the snows on and it was terrible..

also, driving around in 40 degree and colder weather is not good for the toyos, they get real hard, and they don't get traction in cold weather...

i have pirelli snowsport performance snows but i'd rather **** those up than my toyos anyway...

yeah I hear ya. Just be careful in them and don't treat em like your toyos cause you will burn them up, especially when it is warm. And don't go above 80 in em :rick:

You'll be suprised as to how well your GSR will handle in the snow. Mine is like a tank with my snows on, where as with the oem tires it couldn't get out of the drievway without a struggle.

yea i had them last winter and they were great...and what do you mean don't go over 80 in them...they're R rated i think...and last year i got up to 140 haha, i guess that isn't very safe, but i was kinda a dumb driver back then :P

**edit* derr they're not R rated, hold on i'm an idiot..they're Winter 210 SnowSport tires --H rated, so i shouldn't go over 130 in them.

they may be speed rated for that, but anything over 80 and they get hot enough to start to melt down

eh, i'm gonna be selling the car between spring and summer next year anyway so this will be my last use for them....even if i don't sell them, i'm moving to florida, so i could care less...
i wouldn't drive purposely over 90 though....it just kinda...happens sometimes....tegs are so quiet at high speeds.

Nikki,

What Acura dealership in CT did you go to? I used to go to Milford but that is far away from me so I get the major stuff done at Curtis Ryan Honda...and they are a lot cheaper. They could not believe how much I was paying at the Acura dealership.

I am doing more and more maintenence on my own car, brakes, oil changes, etc. Now I am planning to do a valve adjustment next...I am right at 60K as well. Let me know if you need anything you are not more than 30 minutes from me.

What do you mean, they are H rated for a reason.. And that reason is they are heat safe up to around 130. That's how they measure speed ratings, by how well they handle heat. They wouldn't give them a H rating if they "melted down" above 80.
