With an LS/VTEC you are loosing the oil squirters at the crank and the long term dependability of the motor is compromised. The reason the GSR and Type R had oil squirters in their blocks was to help lube and keep cool the pistons at the higher RPMs the B18C motors run at. I do not reccomend this although I am sure those that have will swear by it.

A GSR with a similar turbo set up will make more HP than an LS or GS.

If you want a pure bred race car get an ITR...for a car that will be a daily driver get the GSR...you can turbo, SC or go NA with it and make it very fast, but yet still bearable when commutiong too and from work.

If you are not concerned with speed but moreso the looks of your car, save the money on insurance, get an LS or GS, and make it look nice and clean.

you can make anything a sleeper.

If it says GSR it obviously has a GSR engine or better.

If it says LS people just think its the average ones that are all over the place so they think less of it.

But where does it say GSR? You can remove the DOHC VTEC badge on the back and it looks just like a GSh:

Eric, I'd like to know more about this setup. What'd it cost you, what's involved...and most of all, what type of gains could one expect?

Thanks.

The later model GS did not have the brake light in the rear hatch because the spoiler was standard:rick:

I think.
