well i already got an appointment for the valve adjust but what do you guys think is the next important thing to do. Should i change the timing belt, how do you know when thats needed?

The timing belt is a must. It's done as a recautionary measure, as if it breaks, the pistons will crash into the valves, ruining them and leading to costly repairs. There's really no telling when it might fail, but it's usually done at the 90,000 mile service.

This is not an item you want to overlook.

I got really lucky... mine broke at 140K miles, while I was idling at a light. No damage

my timing belt went out at lie 74k and so did cylinder 1 basically! the dood at this shop i take it to said after the timing belt went, and they tried doing a valve job, im only getting 25% compression from cylinder 1?!?!?! well i got a used head with around the same amount of miles in my living room but im waiting until i have time to acutally work on it...until i got a 3 cyliner go cart powered integra:dunno: is repalcing the as time consuming as i think???

do you drive your car hard or something, why did it go out at 74k? What can i do to prevent that from happening cause i got 92k miles on mine.

the belt is a wear item, for whatever reason they dont last forever. Replacing it is pretty important considering what can happen if it breaks.

Replace the water pump with the timing belt, does not add much cost to the service and will greatly add to your peace of mind
