Default No power to the amp!!!

i have a MTX amp with 12" alpine subs with alpine 7894 deck. The subs were playing fine when i was going to work, and i had the volume up like at 14 volume level, pretty loud. When i was done work, my subs doesn't work anymore, so i first checked the power to amp, it seems there isn't any power to it. Could it be the fuse? there are 2 fuse, one is the one attached to the power lead, other one is on the amp, which one could it be?

also what is the one on the amp for?

Thanks you!!

check the fuse near the battery (if you have one) and check all the amp fuses.

it could be either one of those fuses, it just depends on how ur system is setup. If you have for example, a two amp setup, the fuse coming off the battery should equal to or a little bit higher than the total amperage of the fuses on both amps. If that's the case, 9 times out of 10, the fuse on the amp would blow before the fuse by the battery. Just make sure to check both fuses, if those are fine, check ur remote lead, u should read 12v on it when the key is in the on position, if u don't, that's ur problem.

i checked the fuse, and they are fine. as for the remote lead, is it the small wire? if its not the remote lead, what could be the problem?

thanks you!!

well the purpose of fuses is to help prevent getting your amp blown up. but it's possible it blew up even with both fuses intact. Unlikely... but possible.

I'd tripple check all wires and connections and make sure it's not overheating or extremely cold. Yes the remote lead is a small wire, usually pretty thin. Mine's probably thinner than a toothpick.

ok, thx guys. Just another question, if i have 2 fuses setup, no matter how loud i push on it, its most likely going to blow the fuses, but not the amp, rite?

thx

if you blow a fuse, most likely it'll be the fuse on the amp instead of the fuse by the battery, unless that fuse is rated lower than the fuse in the amp(which should never ever happen)

u kno a easier way to see if the power is going thru is checking the red led located on the amp. cuz if no power's going thru, it aint gonna be on.
