Default "break" rotors

i have a question reguarding slotted/drilled rotors.

ive heard that after prolonged use, the drilled rotors will crack. when they "crack" does that mean when im driving there will be a chunk that just falls off? that wouldnt be fun the next time i hit the brakes. also will the slots dissapate enough heat that the cross drilled holes will not cause the rotor to crack?

thanks,
andrew

On the track, slotted are the most suitable, cross-drilled rotor are simply for looks. They will not crack unless exposed to high stress.
