Default RSX Type R next year.

For those who may be interested, I was told by an Acura salesman today that there will be an RSX Type R coming out next year. I was told that it will be a stripped down Type S, probably to cut weight, w/no rear seat and no A/C, together w/a higher HP engine, and LDS. Of course it will be more expensive than the Type S.

yea right, like i havent heard that one before. and how could a stripped down car w/ no ac and no rear seats cost more than a car with leather seats and ac and not stripped down. even though it has a stronger motor and lsd.

Hey, I'm only reporting what the Acura salesman said. Since he works there, it certainly would make since that he might know something.

As for the Type R costing more than the Type S, which one do you think is going to be hotter and in more demand?

Hell w/this, if I should get any more info or pictures, I'm just going to be quiet about it.

Not necessarily so. Some salesmen will tell you just what you want to hear. I can't really see Acura selling a stripped down car.

salesmen usually give u the rumors, cus they don't even know for sure. Last time I checked (newest issue), one of magzines (think it was SCC) was told by president of Acura in US that currently they are not interested in importing the type R RSX. and stripped down car doesn't look possible nowadays, cus type R is already lighten in many parts, they don't really need to take out AC unlessit's in pro races.

just becuase he works there doens't mean he knows what he's talking about....just a few weeks ago I was told by an Acura salesman that he didn't know either way, and another seemed like he had no clue what I was talking about......

You'll know if they decide to release it in the states, not just from some stupid salesman just trying to tell you what you want to hear.

Worst thread ever. A salesman will tell you anything. They know less than us, how the hell are they gonna know anything? You think they have inside connections to Honda? Most of em aren't enthusiasts. 98% of them aren't enthusiasts.
