Suspension and Bracing
Quick question on Coilovers: If I raise the lock rings on the lower perch (increase preload) this will raise up the car right? I want to raise it back up about an inch. Will this make the ride alot harsher and shorten shock travel?
Bracing Question: I know where the front and rear strut braces go but where does the rear lower and H brace go? I've seen them advertised but cannot figure out where they would go. Do they (rear lower and H) help much?

I dont really understand what your asking about the coilovers...but really didnt try to either...
about the H brace:

More than anything, a rear sway bar will give you the best handling change (check out asr reinforcement kit and a 22 or 23mm itr sway)

The coil overs have two large castlenated nuts at the bottom (just like the rear shock on a motorcycle). They can be loosened and lowered or raised to compress or elongate the springs. If I raise the nut (which will compress the spring) will it raise the ride height? On a motorcycle it will raise the ride height a little bit but it will make the ride much harsher. Not knowing that much about car suspension my question is: will compressing the springs by effectively raising the lower spring perch raise the car while making the ride much stiffer?
What are the blue beams showing in your picture (just curious)

In effect if you raise the preload perch the car should sit higher off the ground. The ride should still be the same since you are not changing the shock stroke length, or the spring rates. So it should ride the same just have more clearance.
