Finally got a lude, questions/suggestions?
I got a 4th gen 93 Si w/104 k miles. My question is do I have to use premium fuel. Will it mess up the engine or just sacrifice performence? Plus is the time to change the timing belt on the engine?
anything else to know?

If it states either on the dashboard or the owners manual to use premium fuel only, do so. It will keep the engine running at its peak potential if you use the recommended octane fuel.
The timing belt is a good idea to do right away. A broken timing belt is bad news for the valves and pistons on close interference engines like Honda engines.
It may be a good idea to do a full tuneup with new distributor cap/rotor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel filter, etc if you don't know when they were done last. It will give you better gas mileage and prolong the life of the car.

Congrats on the buy! I hope you love your lude as much as I do mine (second one). :driving:
Do you have the records from the previous owner, or know when this stuff was done? The timing belt should be done within 90k miles. If it hasn't been done yet, DO IT.
The SRS light should come on for a few seconds when you first start the car. If it doesn't disappear, you should take it to a dealer and see what's up.
And yes, put premium in there. I think it's made to take 91 octane, since that's the highest you can buy at most stations in California.
