Default clutch sticking?

has anyone heard of a clutch sticking while driving?
this happens intermittently, but while driving there will be very little power when i shift into any gear and then all of a sudden it will just boost, as though the clutch doesnt fully disengage when i release it, then pops out by itself. is there anything else that could cause this?

Bad throwout bearing, maybe? Might be time to invest in a new clutch...
