Default Best ECU CHIP for 95 ls?

there any chips out there that will actually give you more hp??
or do i have to just get my chip tuned at the shop?
the mechanic said he can get chip($200) and then tune($800) my car and it will give me about 15hp to the ground!!???
i think thats bullshit. but if its true its still a hell of a lot for 15hp.

so what performance chip do you have or know of that is very beneficial for a 1995 integra ls?

Thanx

If you want to spend a pile of cash, you can go with Hondata or some actual stand-alone EMS.

Until then, stick with an S-AFC, V-AFC, or S-AFR to adjust your fuel delivery. You can advance the timing by the distributor if you must.

$1000 for a chip is complete bull.

leave chips to the VW/Audi market...on Honda's they don't really help. fuel management systems like Kai listed are the best for our cars.

can you please specify which in your opinion would be best and why?

im looking for hp gain from the chip only.. i dont care much about extra fule consumption.. 5-10hp?(if possible? from a chip?)
which one?
how much they go for
easy install?

works best with i/h/e ?

what will work best on an LS w/ i/h/e is an APEXi S-AFC. that with a fuel pressure regulator will allow you to tune your fuel system for optimal atomization.

A chip is a waste of time and money. Forget it. Like LT and I are saying, get an S-AFC and get it tuned.

If you really want the best, get a Haltech or similar. If you don't know what those are, you're not ready for one yet.

First thing, what sort of mods do you have on your car?? If you're midly modded then these chips are nothing but garbage.

For one thing, they usually don't do much but advance your timing and make you run rich. Also, I don't see the point in using a chip that isn't designed specifically to your car's needs. In the end these chips are crap and you should find a new mechanic.

Rather than spend the money on a generic chip, look into doing some more engine work on your car. If you want more power, maybe you should look into some more aggressive cams.

the only time a chipped ECU is worth getting is when you are complementing it with other high end parts such as head work, cams, performance intake manifolds, throttle body, bottom end work, and a quality header. if you just have the basic bolt ons, the ECU remapping does not really do much. the chipping will change fuel and rev limits, and you can only take advantage of that when you do need those extra RPM or more fuel when you get bigger cams and let the motor breathe better with headwork, intake manifolds and TB.
