Default Help me diagnose my clutch problems

Ok, about a week ago, my clutch pedal feel changed. It went from biting at aproxamately the same level as the gas pedal to biting almost immediately off the floor. The friction zone feels smaller as well, its getting almost binary. I now have a few inches of dead throw (nothing happens) at the top of my clutch pedal.

I'm wondering what the service interval is for the hydrolic clutch fluid. It might be breaking down. Or, of course (most likely) it is something complicated and expensive.

Any ideas?

Oh and by the way, anyone ever get a clutch from ebay? There's a whole clutch set, and lightened flywheel for $300 (or clutch kit alone for $140 or so). Seller has a ton of positive feedback, so it's not a scam. But it does seem too good to be true.

You will need to check the fluid level for sure. I ran into the same but after topping up the fulid, it was back to normal.

Sounds like air in the line. I bet you need to bleed your clutch, not just add fluid to the reservoir.

I wonder if it could also be deterioration of the clutch master cylinder seals, which is a known problem among Integras. Check your firewall on both sides around the clutch master cylinder to see if you see fluid dripping down.

Thank you for the suggestions gentlemen, I will try to take a look after work.
I'd be happy if all that it needed was a fluid flush.

Oh by the way, after the car has been running for 15-20 minutes the clutch gets a little better. That would lead me to believe it may be a problem with the fluids/ seals.

I would recommend a new clutch. My 96 GSR did the same thing accompanied with difficulty shifting. When the clutch disk was removed, a chunk of metal near the center was fried off.

Actually the clutch master cylinder is on the firewall, the clutch slave cylinder is on the transmission.

You can see if your clutch master cylinder is leaking by looking inside your car by your clutch pedal. You will see the shaft of the clutch master cylinder attached to the clutch pedal, if you have leakage there then your clutch master cylinder is bad. You can first try to bleed the system of air like someone already said.
