Default Do your rotors warp?

I have a 99 Civic HB with the stock brake system (9.5" discs in front/drums in rear). The front discs are small, very small. I am on my 3rd set of rotors at 65K miles because all of them warped at some point. I dont stop heavily unless I have to, but however I ride on 17's for the majority of the year. I'm sure the bigger, and heavier, wheels have something to do with the warping, but would it have this much of an effect. If so, whats a cost efficient brake alternative (I am not going to spend the money on an AEM Big Brake kit)?

Just buy a GOOD set of rotors. Brembo blanks are about $29 a piece and work very well. The pads also play a large role in warpage too. Make sure you have a good set of pads.

Also, when you torque your wheels onto your car, go in a cross pattern. This can help prevent warpage as well.

upgrade to a 94-01 integra front and rear disc conversion, along with that is the recommended 99-00 si prop valve and 99-00 si master cylinder. u will thank urself and wont have to spend money on the bling bling upgrade from aem. and everything i just mention, bolts right up to ur hatch. me and friend did this to his dx and its got one hell of brakin system now.

My last set of rotors were a set of brembo cross-drilled rotors with GreenStuff brake pads. They seriously lasted less than 6 months. One of the things that was brought to my attention was that overtightening of the lugs can cause the rotors to warp. I dont know if this is true or not, but apparently a possibility.

I am strongly considering getting the Disc conversion from the Integra. Is it really a bolt-on or do some modifications have to be made? How much can I get both front and rear for?
